Trip Summary

Day 1-4: Fly to Beijing & Beijing

Begin your Yangtze Cruise Tour with Beijing by wandering along the incredible Great Wall, visiting historic Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, leisure tour of Summer Palace, plus the Hutong rickshaw sightseeing and more. The whole way can be personalized for any of your needs.

Day 4-5: Fly to Xian & Xian

Come to the ancient city ramparts of Xian and meet the mighty Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, etc, accompanying with local guide and personalized service.

Day 6-7: Fly to Guilin & Li River Cruise

Get your soul free in Guilin and enjoy the total natural Li River Cruise. And take a casual time to treat yourself a cup of coffee in Yangshuo. Life is supposed to be that simple.

Day 8: Flight to Chongqing from Guilin

Transfer to Chongqing for your late afternoon Yangtze Cruise. With local guide, you have chance to visit Erling Park and Ciqikou Old Town before getting onboard.

Day 9-11: Yangtze Cruise to Yichang & Fly to Shanghai

Make yourself at home, this Yangtze cruise do much that it says. Land tours, historical sites, meet with locals, explore the changes along Yangtze, you have more to find out. Float down the stream, this tour takes you to Shanghai as well.

Day 12-13: Shanghai & Shanghai Departure

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China, rich in history and culture. Your lifetime China tour begins with welcome from your local guide at the Beijing airport. Then be escorted to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of today is yours to acclimatize or explore the vast metropolis on your own.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L)

Today you will first visit the world's biggest city plaza, the Tiananmen Square; then walk to the marvelous "Egg" (National Centre for the Performing Arts) to take some pictures from its outside; subsequently, go to the Forbidden City, the most complete imperial palace in China; and later proceed to the impressive Temple of Heaven. After the sightseeing tour, be driven back to your hotel.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)

With the old saying “One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero”, today you will visit the famous Great Wall (Badaling Great Wall Section) for about 1.5 hours hiking. Along the way, you can see ancient watchtowers and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Judging by the physical conditions, you may return by cable car or descend by chairlift. Then move to the Sacred Way, the first scenic spot to enter the Ming Tomb. Walking through the 7 km’s solemn road decorated by splendid architectures, you come to the Changling to explore further of the tomb.

On the way back to your hotel, you might make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside.

For the dinner, we prepare you with the typical local food-Peking Roast Duck to end today's tour!

Day 4 Beijing & Flight to Xian ( B, L )

Today after breakfast, you'll visit the fabulous Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China, the next 'must see' site after the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

Then you will be escorted to the airport for a 2-hour flight to Xian, the ancient heart of China. Upon arrival in Xian, your local guide will greet and guide you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free on your own.

Day 5 Xian ( B, L )

Today your first stop is to join the ranks of the incredible Terracotta Warriors, the forbidding sentinels of a death defying emperor, starting out through the silent millennia of history.

In the afternoon, visit the Ancient City Walls, the largest and best-kept city walls on earth. Strolling on the Walls is quite an enjoyable experience. Today’s tour ends to visit the Bell Tower, a famous landmark of Xian ancient city.

Options: You can rent a bike and cycle on the wall or have a local dumpling dinner and enjoy the famous Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 6 Flight to Guilin from Xian ( B, L )

Today will be free until being transferred to the airport and take a flight to Guilin. Your Guilin local guide will meet you in the airport and take you to check into your hotel in Guilin. After a little rest, head to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, the city symbol.

Then head to visit the fabulous Reed Flute Cave to see the beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers with various shapes.

Day 7 Guilin Li River Cruise ( B, L )

After breakfast, you'll be driven to Zhujiang Pier to cruise the Li River, a must-do for any Guilin tourists and a mile-long natural gallery.

This was what Bill Clinton said: "I heard of the name of Li River long ago. Today I visit Li River. It is more vivid and genuine than what I thought before. Nowhere is like Guilin. It makes me think of the traditional Chinese paintings."

After about 4 hours, disembark in Yangshuo, the paradise of Guilin. Then you’ll be free to explore Yangshuo and find out why West Street is so popular among tourists. After tour in Yangshuo, be driven back to Guilin in late afternoon.

Day 8 Flight to Chongqing from Guilin ( B, L )

In the morning, you will be free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon your arrival at Chongqing, the largest city in Southwest China, your local guide will pick you up and guide an essential city tour including Erling Park, Huguang Gild Hall and Ciqikou Old Town. After the tour, you will be transferred to your Yangtze Cruise ship, and your lifetime Yangtze River cruise starts!

Day 9 Yangtze Cruise ( B, L, D )

Today you will embrace your first shore excursion site-Shibaozhai Pagoda. With 278 kilometers away from Chongqing, Shibaozhai is a pearl on Yangtze River. As the gem of Chinese Architecture, the 12-story, 18th Century red wooden temple is an architectural delight full of Legends and beautiful stories. Climbing on the top, you can have a panoramic view of the Yangtze River.

Optional Site: Some cruise ships make the shore excursion to the Fengdu Ghost City instead. Also called as the City of Ghosts, it endows kinds of mysterious stories about the underworld cruel tortures and kinds of devils. Enter inside, you can find more devil statues and vivid cruel scenes.

Day 10 Yangtze Cruise ( B, L, D )

Shore excursion to Shennv Stream by smaller vessels. Shennv Stream, called Goddess Stream, is reputed as the Original Virgin Valley of Yangtze where you could see extraordinary view.

Note: Some cruise ships make the shore excursion to the Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is a collection of local culture. The nature scenery, boat tracker, local sampan, ancient hanging coffins, unique ethnic minority Tujia culture… all is worth your exploration.

You have the final say on which excursion to make, as we can book any of the cruise ships at great rates!

Day 11 Yangtze Cruise & Flight to Shanghai from Yichang ( B, L )

Today's highlight is your morning excursion to the world-famous Three Gorges Dam. Be prepared for your check-out procedure and the ship will arrive in Yichang at about 11:30-12:00.

Our guide will expect you on board and visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. After lunch at a local famous restaurant, drive to the Yichang airport and take the flight to Shanghai. Be met and transferred to you hotel in Shanghai, and the rest of today is at your own pace.

Day 12 Shanghai ( B, L )

After breakfast, you'll visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, a must-see for all true Shanghainophiles to witness how Shanghai became a cosmopolitan city from a shabby fishing village.

Then walk leisurely around the beautiful Yu Garden, a pleasant enough, well-contained classical Chinese garden, and savor some local flavor snacks at the Yu Garden Bazaar.

Later to visit the French Concession to appreciate its old French-style villas and special colonial culture. In the evening, enjoy the breathtaking Acrobatic Show. (Optional)

Day 13 Shanghai Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, head to the famous Bund to witness Shanghai’s skyline, and stroll along China's No.1 shopping street, Nanjing Road.

Then ascend the Jinmao Tower to get an amazing bird’s eye view of this metropolis. Then continue to Jade Buddha Temple to admire the largest jade Buddha in the world and exquisite religious artifacts.

After the tour, be transferred to the airport for your flight to next destination or back to home.
